June 6, 2022 Price Increase

Dear Sweet Kiddles families,

It has been a crazy time in all of our lives, and the craziness does not seem to want to let up. So, we thank you very much for continuing to be members of Sweet Kiddles. Your support means a great deal to us.

Because of our mission to make lives better for our member families, we have always attempted to be fair and equitable with pricing. Throughout this late pandemic and the other economic shocks that our economy and our business have seen, we have tried to postpone any increase in prices for as long as we could.

Nevertheless, we are finding that the costs to operate our business are becoming untenable. As you have likely seen in your own daily lives, we have seen a rise in the costs for nearly every aspect of our business. Childcare supplies, such as gloves, wipes, books and toys have all increased significantly. Office supplies, cleaning supplies, energy costs, gasoline for our vehicles, and food have all risen. Our service providers have passed on their increased costs to us.

Of course, team member wages is the largest and most important cost to our business. Our talented teachers are central to the service that we provide our member families, and a core part of the reason that you entrust your children to us. During this national labor shortage, we have seen more challenges attracting and retaining that talent than we ever have before. The result has been meaningful increases in the pay to each of our team members. We are highly supportive of these wage increases as it makes our team members’ lives better. And, we have done our best to mitigate these costs by reducing operating hours and making other changes. Nonetheless, we have found that it is time to make modifications to our pricing.

Therefore, effective June 6, we will be increasing rates for infants through preschool-aged children. We will honor current school-age rates through the summer camp season, with new pricing for that age group effective September 5. Please see our website under “Rates & Hours” for the new pricing details at your center.

One change that we have made to our pricing structure, in order to reduce complexity and help families better manage their costs, is to eliminate our prepaid rate for hourly childcare. All families using hourly care will now receive the same rate. For your own convenience, you may continue to deposit money into your Sweet Kiddles account. Or, we will bill you at the end of each day.

Finally, we would like to highlight a few additional fees. Because it substantially disrupts other families’ ability to use our services, we will be increasing our no-show fee to $50 per child. Similarly, late pickups disrupt the lives of our team members. Therefore, this fee will be increased to $30 per family. Our new member fee is also increasing to $150 per family. You are welcome to renew early, before June 6, if you would like to avoid this fee increase. Another year will simply be added on to your family’s expiration date.

Thank you again for your continued support of Sweet Kiddles. We look to make lives better for everyone, and with your help will continue to do so. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Center Director.

Covid Policy: Sweet Kiddles will be mask-optional for all team members, families, and children.

Sweet Kiddles is updating our mask policy based on the new Centers of Disease Control guidelines. These guidelines recommend that organizations and businesses determine appropriate COVID behavior based on the transmission rates within individual communities.

All of the counties in which we operate are currently rated Green/Low Risk by the CDC. Therefore, starting Monday, March 14, Sweet Kiddles will be mask-optional. We will continue to monitor the CDC ratings, and we may change our masking policies as conditions change.

Families and team members are of course welcome to continue wearing masks at your option. We will continue to have masks available for use in each of our reception areas. Parents may require their children to wear masks, and we will enforce parents’ requests on a best-efforts basis.

The following policies stay in effect:

Effective immediately, December 27, 2021 we will no longer be requiring quarantine of children or adults due to cases in our facilities, except for the individuals who test positive themselves. Instead, we will be notifying families individually of any potential direct exposure (such as another child in their child’s classroom), will be posting notifications of all cases in the center and reporting each case to the state licensing agency. If your child has a potential direct exposure and is asymptomatic, you will be recommended, but not required, to quarantine for seven days.

Due to this modification of quarantine procedures, we will increase our diligence with COVID symptoms. We ask that you are rigorous in monitoring your own household, and test or remain at home if your child is exhibiting symptoms. Children or adults exhibiting symptoms upon arrival will be asked to test before being admitted to our facility.

Children with a household family member who has tested positive should self-quarantine for the duration of their family member’s quarantine. When the family member’s quarantine period is complete, your child is welcome to return.

We ask that you not utilize Sweet Kiddles while you suspect a case within your household. For example, please do not use Sweet Kiddles when you are planning to be tested or awaiting the result of a test.

If you are quarantined, please avoid outside contact to further reduce the spread of the virus. We appreciate your cooperation in abstaining from attending sporting events, school events, or other public activities. While in quarantine, families should remain at home, in order to help reduce the risk of spread. We are more than happy to help provide parents with at-home activities to help reduce boredom at home.

We understand that the pandemic period can be confusing, and we all know that guidelines can quickly change. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your center director. Thank you!

  • Bring your own children in to drop-off, and check them in using our kiosk computers. We will have team members on hand to show those unfamiliar how this is done.

  • Pick up children from the classrooms at the end of your visit. A Sweet Kiddles team member will check them out to assure proper billing for the day.
