Got more questions? We got answers!
Q. What is flexible childcare?
A. Flexible childcare was designed with your needs in mind. Sweet Kiddles flexible childcare center provides high-quality childcare whenever you need it, including evenings and Saturdays.
Q. Who is flexible childcare for?
A. We are here for parents with changing or unpredictable schedules. Maybe you work part time, or maybe you just need some time to run some errands and get some things done. Maybe you have an emergency, like a snow day or your babysitter calls in sick. Or maybe you just want a night out with your spouse. No matter what, Sweet Kiddles flexible childcare center will meet your need.
Q. Wow, that sounds pretty awesome! When are you open?
A. Thanks, it is awesome! Both locations are open every day except major holidays. Our hours are Monday-Thursday until 9pm, Friday and Saturday until 11pm.
Q. What ages do you serve?
A. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
Q. Where are you located?
A. Sweet Kiddles currently has two convenient locations in Strongsville, OH and Medina, OH, with plans to expand through franchising.
We are currently located at 16512 Pearl Road, Strongsville Ohio at the corner of Echo Drive and Pearl Road. This is the shopping center just south of Marc’s where Skin Deep Mega Tanning is located.
Our Medina Center is located at 3825 Stonegate Drive, Medina Ohio at the corner of Jefferson Street and Stonegate Drive.
Q. What are the minimum and maximum amounts of time?
A. We have a two-hour minimum. There is no maximum as long as you pick up by closing time.
Q. It sounds pretty convenient. Does that mean it is just glorified babysitting?
A. No! You do not have to sacrifice quality for convenience. Our center is staffed with the best teachers in the industry. We also have a running curriculum focused on teaching your child to love learning every day.
Q. What is your evening program like?
A. Evenings have a variety of options to suit the needs of your child, ranging from sleeping to educational activities.
Q. How big are your classes and teacher-to-child ratios?
A. Class sizes and ratios are going to rise and fall as children come and go. However, we will never go above these ratios and will start calling in staff before we hit them: Infants – capacity 10, ratio 1 to 5. Toddlers – capacity 14, ratio 1 to 7. Preschoolers – capacity 24, ratio 1 to 12. School age – capacity 18, ratio 1 to 18. We also have a preschool that can accommodate 12 children.
Q. What’s the difference between traditional, half-day preschool and preschool drop-in?
A. Well, first let’s talk about the similarities- both are going to be awesome, top-quality educational experiences for your child, led by the best teachers in the industry. The difference is how consistent you want your schedule to be. Traditional preschool is at the same set times and days each week, and you make at least a one-month commitment at a time. You choose the days of the week and mornings or afternoons, and then those times are set for that month and for as long as you choose to extend. For example, say you want your child to attend on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings in September. You’ll sign up for those three days in the mornings. The next month (in this example, October) you can change your plans if you wish and if space in the class permits (there is a maximum of 12 children per preschool session). Traditional Preschool is best for parents who want their children on a set schedule, with consistent classmates and teachers who can provide a staged curriculum and monitor progress over time.
Drop-in for preschoolers is available whenever you want (including evenings and weekends) for as long or as short as you want. No advanced commitment is required, although you may want to make a reservation to ensure a space or pay into your Sweet Kiddles account to get a lower rate. You still get great teachers, a planned curriculum and a top-notch experience for your child.
And don’t worry, you can do both! Drop-in is available before and after traditional preschool and we can move your child seamlessly from one program to the other. It’s perfect for those times you are running late or need a little extra time to get things done.
Q. Do you pick up at my school?
A. It depends on your location. Please inquire with your local Sweet Kiddles for further details.
Q. What about outdoor play?
A. All Sweet Kiddles locations have awesome outdoor playgrounds where we play every day that the weather permits. When the weather doesn’t permit, we have gross-motor play indoors – for things like gymnastics, dancing, jumping or playing with hula hoops.
Q. Do you care for special needs children?
A. We do, depending on your specific needs. Please contact us so we can set up a time to meet you and understand the specifics of your situation.
Q. Ahem, what about preschool?
A. Our preschool was built with you and your child’s needs in mind. We have 3-hour sessions 9-12pm and 1-4pm (longer than average so we can get more learning done). You can pick if you want 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week and even pick which days you want! Finally, if you need to drop-off early or pick-up late, it’s no problem – your child can transition to or from our standard drop-in program. Each session has room for 12 children.
Q. And camps?
A. Yup, we run them too, in the summer. The beauty of our summer camps is that you pick only the days you want to attend.
Q. I love you so much I want to work there. Are you hiring?
A. We love you too! Oh, and, yes! We are looking to hire the best in the industry for full- and part-time positions. We offer very competitive pay, benefits and flexibility. Visit our location Careers pages for more information.
Q. What type of employees are you looking for and what is your process?
A. The best! But, to be more specific, we prefer candidates with 4-year degrees in early childhood education or equivalent, who have at least 2 years of top performance in childcare settings. Our process includes multiple interview rounds with members of our team.
